S. MARCO

Sede dei centri politico e giudiziario di Venezia, la piazza è il cuore della vita veneziana sin dalla nascita della Repubblica. Napoleone la definì " il più elegante salotto d'Europa " ed è l'unica a chiamarsi " piazza". In questa zona troviamo la maggior parte di hotel, ristoranti e negozi di lusso. Oltre alla famosissima basilica di S. Marco, numerosi musei, il teatro "La Fenice" e palazzo Grassi

Seat of Venice's political and legal institutions, this square has been the heart of Venetian life since the founding of the Republic. Napoleon defined it as "the most elegant drawing room in Europe" and it is the only one to be known as "piazza". Here you can find most of Venice's luxury hotels, restaurants and shops. As well as the famous St. Mark's basilica, there are also numerous museums, " La Fenice " theatre and Palazzo Grassi.
